Before picture
Some of the cabinets were removed. Boxes and boards were set up to give a
visual for the final angled peninsula.
Second view of the original kitchen cabinets and counter. The microwave is
sitting in a temporary cabinet. The original pantry cabinet was cut out for
the visual for new layout.
Third view with refrigerator in
original place.
Forth view with original kitchen layout. The stove was originally at the
lower left hand corner of this photo, next to the entry door.
View from the dining room to the sun
porch.
Included with this kitchen contract was to open up this door to a full view
of backyard.
Second view from the kitchen. Note the dark built in cabinet on the left.
This was refinished to match the new kitchen cabinets.
Third view from farther back into
the kitchen.
The new view to the backyard and pool from the kitchen. This is still
prior to new cabinets.
Second view from the dining room to the sun
porch.

of backyard.
The newly refinished, built in dining room cabinet. The paint was matched
to the new kitchen cabinets
View of the new cabinets with the
refrigerator moved to its new location.
Second view of the kitchen. This is where we cut out the original pantry
cabinet and set up boxes to give this visual.
Stove view from in front of the
refrigerator. The stove and gas line where moved to this side.
Sink view. The sink cabinet has a 'bump out'. The dishwasher was moved
from right side of sink to the left.
This is a view of the eat-in area of
the kitchen. The cabinets were custom built to provide a bench seat and a
significant amount of extra storage space.
In addition to the new kitchen and dining room work, there was a
significant amount of electrical upgrades. The electrical service for the
entire house was upgraded from a 100 Amp service to a 200 Amp service. This
was necessary due to some questionable electric work performed by the
previous owners and to upgrade the kitchen circuits themselves. There were
recessed and under-cabinet lighting added in addition to new outlets.
The total cost of this project came in under a
$40,000 budget which added significantly to the value of this beautiful
house in Longmeadow, MA
